KETO STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE
INGREDIENTS
1 Package of Keto candy girl shortbread cookie mix
1 stick of butter
1/4 cup of heavy cream
2Tbs of nut milk
2Tbs of powdered sugar sweetener like @truvia
** If you want more buttermilk flavor you can add @oooflavors butter extract to your heavy cream/nutmilk.
HOW TO:
Add one packet of @ketocandygirl Shortbread cookie mix into a bowl. Add in one stick of butter - chopped up into slices. Work together with a biscuit cutter or use hands.
When dough starts to form, add in 1/4 cup of heavy cream + 2 Tbs of nut milk + 2 Tbs of powder sugar substitute, I’ve been loving @truvia - Work all into your dough. Your dough should be slightly looser now
NOTE: If you want a more buttermilk taste add 8 drops of @oooflavors butter extract to your heavy cream/nut milk and skip the extra sweetener, makes the biscuits more versatile if you want them for more than shortcake
Make 8 piles generously spaced out onto a prepared baking sheet. Bake in 350° oven for 30 minutes. When bake time is done, allow to sit in oven for an additional 5 minutes before removing and letting cool
When biscuits are room temperature, slice in half, add in whipped cream + fresh strawberries! ENJOY
