I was on my 3rd day of keto (major keto flu) and feeling extremely broken down since I felt like giving up. I found out this place was close to where I worked and I was recommended the pumpkin whoopie pie! I was so surprised that it was keto-friendly cuz it tasted so good, and it completely satisfied my sweets craving! Although there is a slight aftertaste that is quite common with stevia and other artificial sweeteners, it is 10/10 better than any other keto-friendly desserts out there. Definitely try this one!
I made the drive from Bellflower to Anaheim just to get my hands on these whoopie pies! I have been keto for roughly two years and was desperate for a delicious tasting, keto friendly treat and the pumpkin whoopie pie surpassed my expectations. The flavor was rich, the pastry was moist, and it didn't taste sugar free in the slightest. The only thing I wish was that it had the net carbs listed so I could track on my app. All around, worth the drive!
If you don't like pumpkin spice or carrot cake, these aren't for you. However, if you do, these fit the bill while being full fat and very low carb. For $9.99 you get two, and I cut these in half and eat half per day for 4 days. The cake part is soft and moist, and the blend of almond, lupin and coconut flours is balanced enough so that no one of those dominates -- which makes it taste like it has regular flour in it. There are pecan pieces which add a texture that is like carrot cake. The filling is cream cheese, butter and sweetener -- and it's fantastic. There are ingredients used that clean Keto purists will not approve -- personally, for treats I care more about taste and macro profile. For me, these were a convenient, tasty and satisfying indulgence and I highly recommend them.
